This Real Estate Inspection course focuses on the Texas Standards of Practice (SOP's). The SOP's are the rules governing the actual physical act of performing a real estate inspection and clearly state the minimum requirements for each portion of the inspection. This course will cover the SOP's set forth by TREC and the Texas Real Estate Inspector Committee.
During this course, students will learn about all of the essential aspects of performing a real estate inspection in the state of Texas. Participants will learn each of TREC's Standards of Practice, 535.228 - 535.233, and how to properly inspect a residential dwelling in accordance with the SOP's.
The course will also cover a variety of topics from the general provisions of a home inspection in Texas to the effects of local requirements on an inspection. The different parts of the SOP's will also be discussed.
This course is suitable for licensed real estate inspectors, as well as those looking to become licensed in the state of Texas. It is also a great opportunity for continuing education for licensed real estate agents, who will be able to apply the knowledge and skills learned in this course to their own practice.
